Accessibility statement
LightVow is meant to be usable by everybody who has something to say to someone later — including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, larger text, or reduced motion. We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which is also the basis of Israeli Standard 5568.
What has been done
- Pages use real headings, landmarks and labelled form fields, with a “Skip to content” link.
- Pages are built to be used from a keyboard, with a visible focus outline on controls.
- Text and controls are checked against AA colour contrast, and buttons are sized for tapping.
- Animation is reduced or stopped when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Layouts are built for narrow phone screens first, so they reflow when text is enlarged.
- On 22 October 2026 every public page and every signed-in screen was checked with automated WCAG 2.1 AA testing on a phone and on a desktop. The issues found were fixed the same day.
What is not there yet
- Videos and voice recordings are made by the people who send them, so they do not come with captions or transcripts. Senders can add a written message alongside any recording.
- The card illustrations are decorative; the words on a card are also available as text.
- The site is in English only for now.
- Automated testing does not find everything. We are still testing with screen-reader users.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on LightVow is hard or impossible for you to use, write to hello@lightvow.com with the subject “Accessibility”. Say what you were trying to do, on which page, and which device or assistive technology you use. A person will answer, usually within a working day, and we will help you finish what you came to do in the meantime.
